Spring Schedule 2010
 
Wednesday 17th Feb.  
 

2 hr Hack 10.00am till 12pm £40.  

To include; Walk trot and canter.


 

 

Thursday 18th Feb.

 

Fun Day 10am till 1pm £25.

(for beginners and younger children needing more supervision).  

 

 

 


 

Thursday 18th and Friday 19th Feb. 

  

Two day Riding and Horse awareness course

9.30 till 3.30pm £70 for the 2 days or £40 for 1 day

 

All the activities listed below will include natural and conventioanl techniques. 

 

Ground Work;

Basic manners on the ground and in the stable, over and around scarey obstacles.

Lunging and long reigning round and over obstacles.

Loading in a trailer, to include problem solving.

Loose schooling and games; get your horse to follow you over jumps etc.

Help with general care of your horse for the day.

 

Ridden Work;

Conventional English style ridden schoolwork and hacking.

Bareback and bitless work if horse and rider have built suitable confidence together.

 

Own horses welcome or school horses available.

 


Below is a list of the other types of activities we run throughout the year.
 
ABRS. 

 

10am till 3pm £20 daily.

 

Working towards ABRS A to E level in Stable management.

 

Exams can be taken up to a level achieved over the weeks.

£10 for each exam taken including cost of certificates.

 

 


 

Fun Days

 

10am till 1pm £25.

(for beginners and younger children needing more supervision).

 

Pony Club Test Day

 

9.30am till 3.30pm £30.

Catch up on all your pony club tests, badges, road safety and equitation.  For all levels, groups will be split according to ability.  

 

 


 

Jumping Clinic

 

1pm till 4pm to include ½ hr break. Own horse £30, school horse £38.

 

 

Build and ride your own show jumping course.  X Country included, weather permitting.

 

 


Lunging and Ground Work Clinic

 

9.30 am till 12.30pm.  Own horse £20, school horse £28.

 

Improve you ground work skills and confidence around horses or start from scratch on this amazing morning of working with horses from the ground.

 


 

Competition Day 

 

11am start. Own horse £8, school horse £12 per class. 

 

Class 1. Best turned out horse/pony and rider.

 

Class 2. Equitation walk and trot.

 

Class 3. Equitation walk trot and canter.

 

Class 4. Equitation walk trot canter and jump.

        All Equitation classes will be judged on ability of horse/rider combination.

 

   


 

Dressage clinic

 

12 till 3.30pm to include ½ hr break. Own horse £30, school horse £38.

 

Riding in dressage saddles, lateral work, simple changes and an intro to double bridles and spurs.  Learn and ride a dressage test.

 


 

Pony club camp. For Pony club members group 2 and above.
